"I announce that Ning Kai is guilty of murder and fraud. He will be sentenced to death for two years!"

"Bang!"

Ning Kai was convicted as soon as the sound of the gavel echoed through the court.

Hearing this, Ning Xi suddenly sprang from the bench. Tears welled up in her crystal eyes, but she stubbornly held back her anger as she looked at Ning Kai nervously.

"Dad..." Sobbing, she stepped forward, wanting to say something to Ning Kai.

Dressed in a white prison uniform, Ning Kai was dragged away by several prison guards. He looked haggard, and his high spirits were long gone. He seemed to have aged as strands of gray hair could be seen on his head.

"Ning Xi, believe me. I'm not a murderer. I am falsely accused. They're trying to frame me!"

Ning Xi's heart broke.

Of course, she wouldn't believe that her kind-hearted father was a murderer!

Tearing up, she said in a hoarse voice, "Dad, don't worry. I will find a way to save you..."

"It's not visiting hours now. The prisoner should go back." Seeing Ning Xi blocking the way, the prison guard pushed her away impatiently.

Ning Xi, who had been struggling to stand firm, stumbled and fell to the ground weakly.

Her wrist was scratched, and it hurt. However, she couldn't cry.

She had to think of a way to save her father...

Right then, Zhan Shaohui came to her mind.

He was her fiance, and he must have a way.

Turning to her last resort, Ning Xi cried and called Shaohui.

"You're begging me to save your father? Ning Xi, don't be naive. I married you for your father's wealth. Now that the Ning family has gone bankrupt, and Ning Kai is in prison, why should I save him?"

Shaohui's words pierced Ning Xi's heart through the phone!

She bit her lips until it almost bled. Trembling, she uttered, "But everyone in the business industry knows that we're about to get married. You should at least put on an act even if you want to break off the engagement. Aren't you afraid of damaging the reputation of the Zhan family?"

"Well, you got a point there." Shaohui's indifferent voice came slowly through the phone. Then, he said, "Since you seem sincere, I'll give you a chance. Come to the Seasons Hotel at nine o'clock tonight. If you manage to satisfy me, I will consider your request."

Gritting her teeth, Ning Xi felt a head rush building up in her body. "You're backing me into a corner!"

Hearing that, Shaohui sneered disdainfully. "The choice is yours."

Right then, the tears that Ning Xi had been holding in spilled from her eyes.  

Shaohui had already made it clear that he would not marry her, yet he wanted her to accompany him to a hotel...

He wanted her to be his mistress!

What would happen to her father if she rejected Shaohui?

Her fair-weather friends pretended not to know her after her father got into trouble. Fueled by grief and anger, Ning Xi made a conscious decision, and that was to dance with the devil. 

Upon arriving at the private room in Seasons Hotel, Ning Xi knocked on the door...

She noticed that the door was unlocked.

Shivering, she pushed the door open and entered the room. The room was pitch-dark.

Her lips were tensed, and her eyes were twitching.

"Zhan Shaohui? I'm here as you asked. You... Mmm!"

Before she could finish her words, a black shadow flashed across her eyes.

The next moment, she felt a hot breath against her face. Unlike Shaohui's colon, she smelt a pungent smell of alcohol.

Before Ning Xi could react, the man grabbed her wrist with both hands and pinned her back. He pressed her against the door and approached her aggressively like a ferocious lion...

"No, Zhan Shaohui. Calm down..." Ning Xi was trembling with fear. Struggling desperately, she wanted to beg for mercy.

However, the man above her had completely lost his mind.

Following an ear-piercing scream, Ning Xi felt cold air creeping upon her skin. She could not help but curl her body up. The next second, a tearing pain swept over her, and she fainted instantly...

"Beep."

After some time, Ning Xi was awakened by the vibration of her phone.

She struggled to move her body as if it was torn apart, and she felt sore all over. Clenching her fists gradually, she stared at the fast asleep man, who had his back turned on her. 

For a moment, she really wanted to kill him. She didn't even mind dying with him!

However, she suddenly remembered that her father was still in prison, waiting for her to save him...

Miserably, she picked up her phone and checked her message.

[Ning Xi, come back quickly. Your father was caught up in a car accident on his way to prison. His life is at stake!]

The moment Ning Xi saw the message, she was stunned. She jolted up from the bed, accidentally touching her wound. Immediately, she turned as pale as a paper. 

Yet she didn't have time to care about anything. Simply putting on her clothes, she stumbled out the door...

Why was her father suddenly involved in a car accident? He was fine before!

After Ning Xi left, a breeze blew across the window, and the curtains swayed with the wind. It was then that the bright moonlight shone through the gaps in the curtains.

Finally, the man's face was lit up.

Blessed with an aquiline nose as well as thin and sexy lips, the man oozed a cold aura. His features were so delicate that they looked unreal. His eyebrows were habitually tensed even though he was asleep.

The man looked somewhat similar to Shaohui, but he was not Shaohui!
